Greg Snider Recieves Award

Brother Greg Snider reciecved the Provincial Human Rights Award for an individual at OPSEU's annual Convention this year.

Greg's actavism over the years has proved to be outstanding. Also serving as the chair of the Disability Rights Caucus and working with the Injured Workers are just a few things Greg has been active in over his many years with OPSEU.

Tentative Agreement Reached

Members of the Lutheran Community Care Centre of Thunder Bay, Local 738 (Developmental Services Sector) have reached a tentative agreement today on a 2 year deal. (April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2014)

The ratification vote will take place on Monday, April 16th.

Thanks to the Bargaining Team and Brother Len Mason (Staff) for all their hard work.

OPSEU Sister Runs For Top Position on Labour Council

Sister Elaine Kerr of Local 731 has recently let her name stand for the position of President of the Thunder Bay District Labour Council.

Elaine has been an actavist in our Region for many years and is known to many members across the Province.

We would like to wish her well in her endevours and know she will carry the message forward on behalf of all the Sisters and Brothers from the many different unions affiliated with the Thunder Bay District Labour Council.

Congratulations Elaine. :)
